Black Island, Panlaitan Fishing Village, Dibotunay Island

Updated: Apr 18, 2022

Black Island

The Local name is Malajon Island. We often get asked why it's called Black Island. Is it out of the caves the shadows throughout the day shade the limestone? This is probably the most impressive island, in our opinion, in the entire bus monkey area, but its location makes it impossible for most resorts to visit; it faces the west Philippine sea; think of Jurassic Park! It has towering lamb stone cliffs, and the best part is probably the caves in the back.

Panlaitan Fishing Village

A local fishing village for most commercial fishermen. It has no road access and therefore almost never sees foreigners other than our guests. It is not a tourist destination by any means.

If you are interested in seeing ta fishing community that is relatively cut off from the tourism industry it is worth a 30 minute stop here.

They have Halo-Halo a Filipino dessert and mango shake and in some of the shops on the Sand Road there are no cars here no electricity except for generators take a walk around and say hi to locals worth a stop or if it interests you.

Dibotunay Island

One of our favourites! Relatively and touch the button is our top choice for a camping trip as well as good snorkelling and the beautiful white sand! Great first stop after Black Island.
